2009 Annual Chattahoochee River Summer Splash

Explore the Chattahoochee River with the Second Annual Chattahoochee River Summer Splash this Saturday, July 25, 2009. Stay cool while floating in the water or stay dry while floating in a kayak or canoe during the six-mile journey down the river. The usual $3 entrance fee will be waived for this annual Atlanta event! Bring your own boat, or rent a kayak, canoe or raft from one of the parks authorized outfitters. • •Day: Saturday, July 25, 2009
• •Time: 9a.m. – 4 p.m.
• •Charge: FREE ($3 entrance fee waived! Rentals will be at a charge)
• •Starting and Parking instructions:
  • –Park at RiverEdge Center, 1600 Riveredge Parkway
  • –Take free shuttle to Morgan Falls Dam
  • –First shuttle leaves RiverEdge Center at 8:30 a.m.
  • –Check in at Morgan Falls Dam begins at 9:00 a.m. and closes at noon
  • –Last shuttle leaves Powers Island back to RiverEdge at 4:00 p.m.
• •Trip down river will take approx. 2 hours without stops
• •If you plan to bring your own boat or kayak, make reservations early!
