Atlantic Station August Free Movies and The Market

Since June, Atlantic Station in Atlanta, Georgia has been adding to the Atlanta events list by offering free outdoor movies (blockbuster favorites) each Thursday night in Central Park. With Movies & The Market, this is an event for the whole family. Bring your blankets and picnic. The movies start at dusk every Thursday (around 8:45 – 9:00 pm).

This month’s lineup for August 2009 is:

• • August 6, 2009: Akeelah and the Bee
• • August 13, 2009: Legally Blonde
• • August 20, 2009: Monsters, Inc
• • August 27, 2009: WALL-E

Prior to the start of the film every Thursday, be sure to visit Atlantic Station’s Art & Antique Market. Open to the public, The Market is the community’s open-air market showcasing one-of-a-kind antiques, edibles and handcrafted items from local vendors. It starts on Thursday and goes through Sunday. Atlantic Station’s restaurants and retailers offer special discounts each Thursday before the movie from 5:00 – 9:00 pm. Some retailers will hold drawings with free prizes, samples and giveaways.
