22nd Annual Decatur Arts Festival
A popular arts festival every year, perhaps this is one of the top rated festivals and places to be in Atlanta over Memorial Day Weekend. Located within popular Decatur City Limits, the arts festival is held within the “square” area and MARTA train drops you off right in the middle of the square for easy commuting.
- When: Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30, 2010

33rd Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival
What’s not to love about the Atlanta Jazz Festival? Experience culture with the musical showcase while celebrating the jazz legends and enjoying the sounds of music, all for free! Located within Piedmont Park, this is sure to be one event you don’t want to miss!

- Times: 1 pm – 8 pm Saturday and 2 am-8 pm Sunday
- Where: Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta
- Details: Musical showcase featuring jazz legends and locals
- Tips: Take MARTA into Peachtree Station
Braves Game and Free Beach Boys Concert
If you are Braves fan and Beach Boys fan, then you are in luck for a great way to spend Memorial Day this Monday. Buy a ticket to Monday’s game with the Atlanta Braves playing the Philadelphia Phillies and then attend a free post-game concert after the game! No gimmicks!

- Times: Game starts at 1:10 p.m and concert starts after the end of game
- Where: Turner Field Stadium
- Details: Buy ticket to attend game and attend Beach Boys concert
- Tips: Take MARTA to Five Points Train Station and transfer to Braves Shuttle Buses on the other side of Underground Mall
