The Atlanta Children’s Christmas Parade
A benefit for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the Children’s Christmas Parade happens on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. to noon rain or shine. The Children’s Christmas Parade begins at Peachtree Street near Baker Street and follows Peachtree Street to Marietta Street. Then it will turn right onto Marietta Street and ends on Centennial Olympic Park Drive. Planned to be full of marching bands, dance groups, giant helium balloons, floats & Santa Claus, this is a family oriented event you don’t want to miss.
It is recommended to take MARTA to either the Five Points or Peachtree Center stations which are both within walking distance of the parade route. There will be limited parking in pay lots available. If you can’t join the parade downtown, you can watch the Children’s Christmas Parade live on WSB-TV Channel 2 (ABC). This is a parade sure to get you in the holiday spirit if you are not already!
