Studioplex Atlanta Lofts Courtyard

Studioplex Lofts are quickly becoming known for their artistic festivities in the community of Old Fourth Ward. Every ‘Second Wednesdays’ of every month, these lofts in Atlanta feature an art walk with known local artists and galleries. This coming Saturday, June 27, 20009, Studioplex Atlanta lofts will be kicking off their Urban Courtyard Market hosting on Saturdays. This market features and supports everything green including local produce, local artisan crafts and handmade prepared foods. Located in the airy courtyard, you can enjoy the Urban Courtyard Market while strolling through the modern rustic architectural marvel building of Studioplex Lofts.

Currently, this Saturday’s Urban Courtyard Market will feature local community standouts such as Danneman’s Coffee, Angie’s FolkHearts, JACK art gallery, small backyard growers with eggs and herbs and The Rolling Meadows farm with pesticide free naturally grown cukes, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, peppers, potatoes, beans and more. Francisco Gomez will be hand rolling guajillo pepper tamales with veggie fillings wrapped in corn husks and Hecho a Mano will have artisan breads, books, smoked salt, peppered vinegars, and aromatherapy blended oils. This is yet another opportunity to meet the people of Old Fourth Ward, support community agriculture and check out the live / work zoned lofts in Atlanta available for sale at Studioplex Lofts. These lofts in Atlanta, GA start from the high $140’s and feature original characters of the cotton warehouse it once was including exposed brick walls, soaring columns, original sliding “barn” doors, original polished concrete floors and original sky lights. Studioplex Second Wednesdays

Studioplex Second Wednesdays

Studioplex Atlanta lofts celebrate art by hosting a monthly ‘Second Wednesdays’ Art Walk. This month’s  art walk is tomorrow, Wednesday, June 10th from 6-8:30 p.m. These monthly art walks at Studioplex are free and open to the public. Art lovers and collectors are invited to enjoy a complimentary glass of wine, discover exciting new artists in the heart of Atlanta and listen to a DJ spin his favorite tunes.

This June 10th Art Walk will feature the Art Department Gallery, led by Anke Schofield, who will present Chimera: New Works by Sam Parker and Dosa Kim. ‘Chimera (the exhibit) symbolizes the current battle of three struggling organisms of today – Politics, Economy and Environment.  “The highly technical combination of Parker’s detail and Kim’s design (and vice-versa) transcends itself into an ethereal, gut-wrenching body of complexity that asks the viewer’s depth to ask for more while the surface eye turns away.  Of what exactly is this creature made?” asks Schofield. The exhibit will be open until June 30 at Studioplex.

Also, the Jack Art Gallery will be featured, formerly known as Griffin Davis, who will present “californiacolors”, a showcase of works by emerging abstract artists from San Francisco: Zoe Martell, Phillip Hua and Hang Nguyen. Jack Art Gallery has relocated to a new space at Studioplex next door to Serpas restaurant in Suite 503. The gallery specializes in affordable, original art created by local and national emerging artists.

In addition, a number of other galleries and lofts will be open during the ‘Second Wednesdays’ Art Walk at Studioplex Atlanta lofts. Dog owners are encouraged to bring their dogs to this month’s Art Walk on June 10th. Local entrepreneur Lauren Janis will be offering samples of her organic Big Daddy Biscuits.
